Description

Messages from The Status Quo - sealed - LPS 315

This is a Clean, Near Mint , Sealed copy with the Hype sticker affixed. This is the Stereo version LP. This copy does have the bb hole to signify that it was a cut out and this is why I grade the cover Near Mint. Also a little of the shrink has come undone on a section of the opening. Not more than an inch and a half. Please see pictures to grade for yourself.

The Status Quo had a very Mod / Psych. sound on their debut album in 1968. The bands' later work would change to a more hard blues boogie approach. As well they would drop the "The" and became "Status Quo" but this first one is a Poppy Psychedelic record straight out of  The Nuggets collection. "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" has been recorded and sampled by everyone from Ozzy Osbourne w/ Type - O Negative backing him up to Camper Van Beethoven. A song that will stand the test of time for sure.  This is great album that will definitely be a prized piece in any serious collection.

GRADING SYSTEM

Mint = Only reserved for Sealed records or store stock new 45s. M = 10/10 Top Copies

Near Mint =  The record may have been played once or twice on good equipment. Near Mint vinyl should sound and look New when dust is cleaned off and the records played with a properly aligned cartridge and good needle. A Near Mint cover should be one that either looks new or still has the shrink wrap on it. Near Mint is usually reserved for record collectors that don't mind spending premium in order to get the best quality copy of a recording. NM = 9 out of 10

Excellent =  EX is 8 out of 10 long player. A record should have maybe one blemish such as fingernail or scuff on the surface that does not affect play. It should be veiwed as Near Mint to most collectors, but for the super picky collector such as myself that check them with a 100 watt light bulb before it ever gets played, it is veiwed as 8/10.

Very Good ++ = 7 Out of 10. A VG++ record may have a few blemishes on each side and will still play with High Fidelity.

Very Good + = VG+ is a grade that I use for most lps that have been played a handful of times with care. It may have one or two scratches (should not be feelable with finger) that DO NOT affect play or some sleeve scuffs from being pulled and played. When put on your record platter a VG+ record should sound great. There should not be overwhelming background noise (when properly cleaned). Pops and Skips from deep scratches are unacceptable.  You should be able to listen to a VG+ record time and time again and not have to worry about damaging it because its not in top collectable shape anyway. 6 out of 10

Very Good =   a VG long player record has been played numerous times or not stored properly, such as party records that were stacked on top of each other instead of being returned to the inner sleeve. These will play with background noise but will not hurt your needle. Don't be afraid of surface scratches, your stylus takes the same beating every time it crosses the matrix numbers in the trail off. 5 out of 10

VG 45s are a little different. Because of the superior play quality of a 45, you can have a record that has numerous scratches and yet never hear a one during play. 45s that I sell in this condition are usually very rare and is the only way to be obtained at a price that won't break the bank.

Remember to achieve this sound quality you need to have your equipment properly set up.

PAYMENT

I accept Paypal or Email me if you need another option.

Shipping

I DO NOT USE EBAY'S DROP SHIP PROGRAM YET. IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO DO THIS FOR YOU PLEASE CHOOSE SO IN YOUR CHECKOUT SHIPPING CATEGORY.

Please Read: The Post Office just keeps raising the rates of Postage. I do not know accurately what it will cost to get it to your Country. I also do not know which Countries ebay will allow me to ship to. I have had to pay as high as $27 to get a record out 1st Class International recently. I keep my Great seller status high so that I can continue to ship at reasonable costs but if I have to go to the post office, I'm losing money. If for some reason I overcharge you I will refund whatever I do not use for Shipping and Handling. I keep a dollar of all S&H to pay for the New Mailer, used lp sleeves that are used to pack around the record album and two filler pads. No one ships like I do and this is why seam splits are never a concern with my customers. All used records will be shipped in their inner sleeve and outside of the cover.

SHIPPING FOR 45

Fastest Shipping on Ebay!!! I charge $3.25 for the first 45 and $1.50 for each additional 45 in the U.S.A for media mail. Priority Mail will be $6. Overseas will pay $12.00 for International Mail. Registered will be $20.00. You will recieve a brand new record mailer and I sleeve all my records to keep them well preserved. Please let me know which S&H you prefer.
