Description

  • "Brave New World" was the third studio album by The Steve Miller Band on Capitol Records. It was released in June 1969 and contains the hit "Space Cowboy."  It was the band's first album after the departure of Boz Scaggs. Paul McCartney, credited under the name Paul Ramon, sang and played on several tracks including "My Dark Hour."

  • This copy (SMAO-184) is in excellent condition and is still in its original factory shrink wrap and is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. It has the lime green Capitol Records disc labels and comes from a late 1969 repressing of the album at the Capitol Records plant in Jacksonville, Illinois.  Note the photo of the interior gatefold is from another copy. The disc test plays cleanly and is VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. The dead wax on Side 1 is etched with 0 SKAO 1 184 X2 #1.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.  It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 51 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
