This is an original 1980 FIRST PRESSING of NO FUN by THE STOOGES on ELEKTRA RECORDS. It is a PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE and is a CANADA pressing. After the punk rock movement had burned itself out people asked where did this all begin. And of course when you ask that question ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE STOOGES. So Elektra had the idea to put an album out made up from the Stooges first two LP`s called THE STOOGES and FUN HOUSE. And I think this really works well. It is a great compilation album. Even though when this came out I had the Stooges first 2 albums I bought this anyway. The artwork won me over and I love the layout of the tracks. Its the track layout that makes this a great album. Still in the shrink wrap the sleeve is in EXELLENT condition. No damage anywhere and as you can see it bares the WEA PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE sticker. So this will have been one of the very first copies they ever pressed. The record labels are in EXCELLENT condition even though there is a maufactureres flaw to side one. Both side of the LP have a sheen like mirror and the highest luster sheen possible. This record has not been played much at all. The vinyl is in EXCELLENT condition to both sides and the LP plays superbly ALL THE way the record plays flawlessly throughout. So 37 years old still in the shrink wrap. Promotional copy. In EXCELLENT CONDITION THROUGHOUT. And a FANTASTIC LP.
After the Stooges recent tours, the band FINALLY after 8 times being nominated, they have been inducted into the ROCK and ROLL HALL OF FAME. The SUPERB book TOTAL CHAOS and the MAGNIFICENT film GIMME DANGER ,TRAINSPOTTING and TRAINSPOTTING 2, IGGY POP and his band`s are FINALLY getting something like the recognition they deserve... And how rightly so ! Their profile is so high right now and it is NEVER going away. People now realize that every band that came after (and including) THE SEX PISTOLS owes one hell of a lot to THE STOOGES, IGGY AND THE STOOGES and CHIEFLY to IGGY POP ! And for those reasons the value of rare GENUINE items like this are certain to soar !!!

All my records are housed in Mobile Fidelity Mastering Sleeves. This prevents further paper scuffs marking the vinyl when removing the record from the original inner sleeve and prolongs the condition of the original inner sleeve .
