Description
This is my excellent copy of the album
The Stranglers - The Raven from 1979
It was issued on the United Artists record label UAG30262
It is a first pressing copy, A1/B1
This is my personal record, bought new back in the '70s. It was played, at most, 3 or 4 times and then carefully stored for house moves etc.
The album cover is in excellent condition, almost as new, including the spine. The cellophane is lifting slightly on the back. The record sleeve is also excellent with the, 1st pressing only, Australia map and man cartoon. (Banned on later pressings)
The vinyl is visually excellent.
All in amazing condition to say the album is 45 years old!
I am also including the rare ( there can't be many left ) Men in Black tour program. This was issued and sold at gigs to promote the Raven album tour. It's in excellent condition and has loads of great photos and a funny, period storybook.
I went to see The Stranglers with my mates at Leeds University in 1979 and bought this program there.
I was 16! Playing it takes me right back to that night.
The loudest gig I've ever been to. Just brilliant.
I'm now a pensioner...............
It feels like the two should go together, hence the asking price.
Please study the photos carefully.
I've now added the rest of the programme photos.
The disc itself plays excellent.
I have played the tracks on my Rega turntable and they are all fine, a few tiny crackles here and there.
The disc may benefit from a professional clean but I would be happy to play it as is.
I am selling my vinyl collection to clear space.
Pop, punk and everything in between,
something for everyone.
The perfect Christmas present for your vinyl loving friends or family!
It will be packed carefully and properly, using a MusicMax box from Defendapack and posted using Tracked 48.
I will wrap the disc separate to the sleeve, to prevent it splitting in transit
