THE STRANGLERS
THE RAVEN
UNITED ARTISTS UAG 302 62 1979
Simply amazing "Brand New" looking copy of this 4th release from the Stranglers.
Establishing the first pressing credentials of this incredible copy of this monumental LP is
A1 U PORKY PRIME CUT in side 1
and
B1 U PORKY written into side 2
The vinyl is Mint!!! Yes that's right folks.....MINT!!!
The Inner sleeve is the very limited banned version. The mighty Stranglers were forced to remove an image of Aussie Queensland Premier Joh Bjelke-Petersen from the inner sleeve artwork. Petersen was the subject of the album's sixth track, "Nuclear Device (The Wizard of Aus)".
The inner sleeve in EX+ with light signs of wear.
The cover is....MINT!!!! Yes that's right (once again!!) it's in MINT condition with NO blemishes or bends or creases WHATSOEVER!!!!
If you are after a collector's copy of this LP then this is without question the one to buy.
Emilysrecords has sold one or two of these beauties in the past, this is by far and away the finest example we have ever seen or are ever likely to see for that matter!!!
This record comes from my own collection. Unless it is mint it has been played on a properly balanced Fonz CQ30 deck with a fresh Shure VN-35 diamond stylus, going through an Audiolab 8000A (highly recommended!). All that comes out of a superb pair of B&W cabinet speakers. It has always been cherished and well taken care of and it has always been stored upright in a PVC protector cover.I include details of any blemishes there may be to the cover, inner sleeve (if present) and to the vinyl. As you will see from my feedback I am used to selling vinyl and other collector’s items on Ebay. I am well aware that detailed descriptions are essential.
I welcome inspection before the end of the auction and encourage buyers to collect from me in Bournemouth, Dorset.
