Description

This is one of the rarest STRANGLERS items available, the ORIGINAL 1977 promo version of "Peaches". AN ORIGINAL, AND A MUST !!!.
This single is probably one of the true land marks of PUNK ROCK !!!

This is the PROMOTIONAL ONLY RADIO version of Peaches that was specially re-recorded / re-edited for radio play as some of the lyrics were found to be unsuitable for radio play, this single gets 3 stars for rarity in Mario Panciera's excellent book "45 Revolutions".
the single also bears the release date of: 6-5-77, and a special catalogue number: FREE 4, and "This disc is for promotional use only" logo.
 
This PROMOTIONAL ONLY single came out in 1977 on UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS, catalogue number FREE 4 , a rare find and an ORIGINAL pressing !!!

The songs are: PEACHES (RADIO EDIT) / GO BUDDY GO.

This version of the single never came with a picture sleeve, and The condition of the VINYL is EX/VG+ (minor paper scuff on one side that do not effect play !!!).

You will not find another or better copy of this killer PUNK single very soon, only a few hundred copies were ever made of this private press single.
