Excellent historical document of the label that birthed Rock 'n' Roll. Three record set with 56 songs in all, plus a beautiful 20-page illustrated booklet. This album commences with Jackie Brenston's "Rocket 88" & ends with "Lonely Weekends" by Charlie Rich. Many obscure artists. Selections by Warren Smith, Roscoe Gordon, Carl Mann, Sonny Burgess, Joe Hill Louis, Malcolm Yelvington, Little Junior's Blue Flames, Doctor Ross, Billy the Kid Emerson, & Roy Orbison. Yellow & black label with vintage Sun logo. UK release froom 1980 by Charly Records. Secret messages have been etched in the dead wax. (matrix # "S BOX 100 1/2").

Box cover has no splits, stains, tape, ink spills, smudges, tears, color fading, water damage, cut-out marks, puncture holes, writing, bubbles or stickers. No ring wear or rubbing. Flat cover with no bends, waves, ripples or bowing. No corner banging. Booklet is in mint condition with no creases, marks, fading or other blemishes. Labels are excellent with no blemishes. Sharp cut holes free of spindle brushings.
DISCS - VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS
A few faint scuffs but no scratches, skips, jumps, streaking or residue of disc or dead wax. No chipping, cracks or warping. Pressed on high quality vinyl.
