MOTOWN COLLECTORS - ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE ISSUES - ALWAYS HARD TO COME BY.
Here's a very nice original 1966 USA first issue picture sleeve copy of this timeless classic from THE SUPREMES with "YOU KEEP ME HANGIN' ON" and backed with "REMOVE THIS DOUBT" on the US MOTOWN imprint # 1101.
Pricing has always been determined by the condition of the sleeve rather than the record itself and finding a copy with a decent matching picture sleeve has always been a challenge as many have become soiled and dog-eared over time with heavy creasing, rips, written annotations, price stickers, coffee staining as well as the inevitable deletion drill hole and ring wear. On a scale of 1 through 10 with "ten" being mint, I would rate this sleeve as a "6" with little in the way of ring wear, light creasing with a small bottom edge split and a couple of small rips on the opening edge, some staining on the rear and front top edge but with no deletion drill hole or written annotations.
The disc itself plays perfectly throughout with great audible quality and remains in excellent condition with light crackle on the run-in and run-out groove and light surface sleeve rubs. The labels are very clean on both sides and not spoiled by a deletion drill hole and with light ring wear making this a very decent copy for the DJ or collector (see picture scans).
From my personal collection that I'm downsizing so why not check my other listings for more great sounds.
