Original LP THE SURFSIDERS " Sing The Beach Boys Songbook " made in England, 1967. Label: Allegro. Cat#: ALL 867. STEREO
INCREDIBLE! This LP, released in England in 1967, actually features 2 songs with LEAD VOCALS BY LOU REED pre-Velvet Underground era. Lou was working for the Design label during the mid-60s and this LP was licensed to the british budget label "Allegro". Lou Reed sings on "Little Deuce Coupe" and " Surfin´". What a BLAST to hear the guy who was to become the epitome of New York underground scene, sing about Hot Rods and surfing!! His voice is slightly buried in the mix but one can recognize his ummistakable tone immediately. The rest of the LP is quite cool too: very clumsy cover versions of The Beach Boys, but in an enthralling and entertaining way. Don´t miss.

Sleeve: VG-, ringwear/creasing, storage wear, light stains.
Record: G+scuffs and scratches ( not deep). VERY CLEAN vinyl, nice sheen. Labels in good condition.
