I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A NICE COLLECTION OF UNIQUE PROMOS / TEST PRESSING AND ACETATE. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM A PERSON WHO USED TO WORK IN A MAJOR RADIO STATION FROM THE LATE 1960'S TO THE EARLY 1990'S. THERE ARE UNIQUE TEST PRESSING ACETATE ETC.. OF ROCK / PUNK / SOUL / PROG ETC... SO PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS FOR THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO GET THESE UNIQUE TEST PRESSINGS AND ACETATES.
This is a RARE, UNIQUE AND PROBABLY A ONE OFF, UK ONE SIDED UNRELEASED DEMO EMIDISC 7" by THE SWEET from 1971, ORIGINAL UK ACETATE PRESSING IN GREAT CONDITON AND A MUST !!!
This is a NEVER HEARD BEFORE/ NEVER RELEASED DEMO VERSION of the great SWEET - 1971 PSYCH  TRACK "SANTA MONICA SUNSHINE".
I have included a short sound file which I recorded with a microphone, so the quality is not the best, but you get the idea !!! you can hear that the band are trying / demo the track in a very acoustic version with some light drums and hand claps in the back and probably just recording this first ever version before deciding if and how to record the finished version, it is completely different then the released fully electric rock version and as far as I know has never been heard before !!!!

This collection came from a major UK radio person who worked in a major UK radio station from the late 60's to the late 90's all the copies were ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUES or PROMO COPIES !!! The 7" acetate was pressed at the EMIDISC STUDIOS. The tracks are: SANTA MONICA SUNSHINE (UNRELEASED DEMO ACOUSTIC VERSION) / side B. is blank.

The condition of the ACETATE is VG+ / VG (plays strong VG++, above average for a 43 years old acetate with the obvious slight crackle you get on most acetates of that age).
