This 7" record contains radio spot ads for the movie "The T.AM.I. Show"
It is a promotional record that was sent to movie theaters to be used by radio stations to promote local showings of the movie
Movie promotional records were produced in very limited quantities and very few have survived
The single-sided record has been play-tested and is in VG+ condition (a couple of light ticks in one of the 4 spots)
There are four tracks: two 60-second spots, and two 30-second spots
Music from the film is played in the background of the spots, including Chuck Berry, The Supremes, and Lesley Gore, among others
"The T.A.M.I. Show" was filmed live at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on October 28, 1964, and released to theaters nationally on December 29th following an exclusive 6-week run in Los Angeles. Participating pop acts included The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, The Supremes, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Barbarians, Lesley Gore, and Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas.
