Description
This is an extremely rare first pressing mono copy of “The Teenagers Featuring Frankie Lymon” vinyl LP on the GEE label catalog number GLP 701, released in 1956. This record has the red label (see picture) which confirms that it is a first pressing. Later pressings had gray or white labels (ref. Goldmine Record Album Price Guide).
This record was pressed on extra thick vinyl. It is in near mint condition with only a few small marks on the surface. At 59 years old, it sounds like a brand new record with very minimal surface sounds. The record label is in mint condition.
The outer jacket is near mint except for a 6 inch seam split at the top right which can be repaired (see pictures). All other seams are perfect and there is no visible wear on any other part of the jacket.
The original tracing-paper inner sleeve has seam splits but is in otherwise perfect condition.
This is a highly collectable, beautiful record perfectly suitable for framing.
I will pack the record outside of the jacket to protect jacket integrity and ship in a sturdy LP mailer with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap for further protection.
Shipping to the USA will be via USPS Media Mail.
