TITLE/ARTIST: Hello and please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - records from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all in great condition! Here is one of those early, rare and highly collectible LP`s by 1950's-'60's artists, The Tokens - for all the "hot rod" collectors, as well as all you R'n'Rer's out there. It is entitled "Wheels" by The Tokens, from 1964 - and yes, this is the same group that gave us the classic, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" just one year earlier. The LP features 12 classic "hot rod songs" from that time - all in STEREO and all in outstanding shape - as well as the neat "car cover" jacket (see the photos above for all song titles and LP photos). It is yet another super rare album in outstanding overall condition - especially the vinyl, but the jacket's pretty neat, too. LABEL INFO: This original RCA Label (LSP-2886) is nearly perfect with real no issues at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little actual play time. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, nothing in need of a mention. In my opinion, the vinyl honestly looks almost as good as the day it was 1st purchased, although if you look closely enough under a high beam light, there are a few super light (and I do mean super light) paper lines in a couple of places. JACKET INFO: Finally, this attractive "car cover" jacket is also very good, but not quite perfect either. There are some super light, early signs of aging on the backside only, as well as small scuff marks along the seams and in the corner areas - but otherwise, the front side is just fine, and there are other no serious flaws. INTERESTING FACTS: Yes, in my opinion, this super rare, hard to find, and collectible LP is in the really nice shape, so please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that.
