The Toney Brothers career has spanned over four decades. Originally started by four brothers, there have been three generations of Toney's involved in this group. Since their formation in 1955, they have been singing their special brand of smooth gospel harmony to people everywhere.
Not long after the group originated they began singing with many legendary artists such as The Blackwood Brothers, The Statesmen, The Speer Family, The Cathedral Quartet, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Stamps, Bill Gaither and many others in concerts across the country. By the mid-60's, they had performed in some of the largest auditoriums in America. Grand halls like the Hershey Sports Arena in Pennsylvania, the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, the Masonic Temple in Detroit, the Morris Civic Center in South Bend, Will Rogers Auditorium in Fort Worth, and the Medina Temple in Chicago.
The Toney Brothers have recorded more than 50 projects over the years for various recording companies and record labels. Many of these have received frequent radio airplay. At one time, The Toney Brothers had a weekly television broadcast in Windsor, Canada. Now they can be seen on the Daystar Television Network where they appear regularly on the award winning Texas Country Gospel show. They have also been a featured guest on this networks show "Celebration".
They have appeared on numerous videos including The Grand Ole Opry Reunion and still appear frequently with some of the industry's top groups such as The Florida Boys, The Bishops, The Kingsmen, The Dixie Melody Boys, Perfect Heart and The Dixie Echoes. They have also performed in front of many celebrities including former president George Bush and not radio/television personality Art Linkletter.
