Vintage Australian Hillbilly Music: 1957-59.

This is a Historic First Australian Country 12” Album.

 “One of the great phenomena of Australian country music has been the Melbourne movement, The Trailblazers. Its ripples have spread so far that it would be impossible to trace the extent of the influence. It is certainly not an exaggeration to say that the movement’s personnel dominated Victorian country music through the entire decade of the Fifties and that their influence set a pattern for the entire scene in the south as well as training most of its artists” A quote from Eric Watson’s Country Music In Australia Vol 2.

The record is compile of 15 tracks and was recorded at Planet Studios.

The trailblazers are: Tom Heaney voc, Jack Johnson fiddle & voc, Beverley Dick voc, Georgie Mack voc, Bill Earle - manager/compere, Charlie Boland bass, Jack Quinn guitar boogie, Stan Green voc, George Xanthos voc and Elsie Darling voc

PACKAGING DETAILS:  Records are packaged carefully in bubble wrap and cardboard box. We guarantee the condition of the records and their covers/inserts etc are accurately described and any photos we use are of the actual record/cover/insert for sale. See below.

Record grading:  Please note that all records are generally graded visually only.

MINT:  RECORD: As new condition with no surface mark. Records that looks un-played.

             COVER: As new. No surface marks or wears.

NEAR MINT: RECORD: Barely noticeable surface mark with no loss of sound quality.

                        COVER: Barely noticeable surface mark/ wear.

EXCELLENT: RECORD: Some signs of being played with extremely little if no loss of sound quality;

                          COVER: Slight wear.

VERY GOOD:  RECORD: Obviously been played with noticeable surface marks & the occasional light scratches but exhibits no major loss of sound quality.

                            COVER: Noticeable wear, with possible slight writing or stains.

GOOD: RECORD: Record has been played and has very noticeable surface marks & exhibits major loss of sound quality.

              COVER: Noticeable wear. Much writing/ stains.
