Description

Last year, in 2018, it was the THIRTY YEAR anniversary since the supergroup The Traveling Wilburys formed. The band released two albums, 'Volume One' in 1988, and 'Volume Three' in 1990. (There was never a Volume Two.) The group formed with Beatles guitarist/singer/songwriter George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, ELO's Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison. Orbison was already gone by the time the band released 'Volume Three', so it was down to only four on that album. Only Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne are now still with us.

Today's rockin' good deal will include a still sealed and never opened or played copy of the 30th anniversary picture disc of that great first album! (Last pic is a stock photo of the record front and back. Your copy will be sealed!) In a special die-cut sleeve, this is the entire album, and will sound great, as modern picture discs do!

And for the second part of this Wilbury two-fer, you'll get 'The Wilbury Collection', in a special THREE disc box set! It includes 'Volume One', with TWO extra tracks, and the third disc is 'Volume Three', also with TWO extra tracks! Disc no. 2 is a DVD, with all of the videos, as well as a rockumentary called 'The True History of the Traveling Wilburys'! DVD is playable in all NTSC regions 1 through 6.

A sweet collection of everything Wilbury, as we continue to miss three of popular music's most influential and best loved musicians: Roy Orbison, George Harrison, and Tom Petty. This is filled with pop songs that have a folk, rockabilly, blues, and bluegrass feel to them. Sure, Harrison and Jeff Lynne are from the UK, but this is pure Americana music, plain and simple! And those harmonies are as sweet as honey!
