This has to be one of the most under-rated albums of all time, a perfect mixture of west coast acid rock with dark lilting english folk, its timeless and beautiful. "The Trees are the most underrated band from the whole late 60's/early 70's folk revival. Folk/rock in the purest sense, this album is a superb mix of original and traditional material both tackled in blistering electric fashion. Often unfairly maligned as being a second rate Fairport Convention or Steeleye Span, this simply isn't the case - the opening 3 tracks on this album are as good as anything by either of those 2 bands, the musicianship is first rate and Celia Humphris is among the every best female singers of the era. The condition is as perfect as its possible to get. Thick ,heavy vinyl and very glossy, its as good as the day it was bought 34 years ago. 100% mint in every way, crisp looking with no surface marks at all. It plays with no clicks, jumps or skips, no crackles or hisses or pops.The quality of the sound is magnificent and has no flaws at all. Label is clean with no spindle marks at all which helps to authenticate the pristine condition of this album.Check out the photos of the labels and you'll see that there are no marks and it looks like an unplayed record
Sleeve is also mint, no bends or creases. Spine is absolutely straight and still flat , edges razor sharp ,corners undented with no scuff marks (check photo of one of the corners..perfect!). No tears,rips ,marks or any kind of writing or stickers on the sleeve.Its been kept in a PVC sleeve since new and this has helped to preserve this album.It has no ringwear or any kind of ageing.
This album is extremely scarce and rarely become available and in this condition its a once in a lifetime opportunity.
