Description
Available here is an original 7" single by The Treetops - It’s Raining b/w Sound of Music. It was issued in Jamaica by Trojan Records in 1967 and has the catalogue number TR-003.
Vinyl Condition - Excellent. The vinyl is relatively bright and clean, with a single light scratch and a couple of other minor surface marks. Having listened to both tracks, I can confirm that there is no jumping, sticking or clicking, with a little background crackle in places. The B-Side inner label has a small circular stain and a pen mark.
Sleeve Condition - Excellent. Plain white, so possibly not the original. It has no splits, tears or creases.

History - Produced by Duke Reid, this is fantastic piece of rocksteady from 1967, in particular It’s Raining. Trojan Records was officially launched in the UK in 1968 by Island Records but had enjoyed earlier incarnations in Jamaica, particularly the year before. I’m assuming that this was one of the earliest releases from 1967, given the low catalogue number.
