THE TROLL “Animated Music” TOP! 1968 Original Chicago Fuzz Psych lp M-

1968/USA/Smash SRS-67114….. here’s a rare original pressing of this psychedelic gem. The cover is in solid strong VG++ condition, it has a delete small hole lower right, light shelf/ring wear front and back at the top, light corner dings/wear, otherwise solid and clean with no splits. The vinyl is in M- like new condition! The vinyl looks Unplayed! Clean labels have no spindle marks. Includes the original lyric inner sleeve which is discolored in spots, one side has a clean 3" split and there are some minor small edge tears. A gorgeous nice copy of this rare Psych lp. Part of the whole Chicago late-60s psych scene alongside their similarly well-produced Dunwich stablemates H.P. Lovecraft, The Troll released a few near-hit singles before this album. Originally released on Mercury's Smash sublabel, this got not a whole lot of attention in its day...and that's sad, because there was a goodly bit of psychedelia that probably shouldn't have made it to the surface before this. It's quality, although one definitely can tell it's a 'period piece'. Still, if it's a fine 60s flashback you need, just drop this one on...

GRADING

MINT: I consider New Unplayed or Sealed items only.

M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays very clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.

EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.

VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
