THE TUXEDOS – YES, IT’S TRUE / TROUBLE, TROUBLE (45-1414) A RARE, GOLD LABEL FIRST PRESSING “DOO-WOP” SINGLE FROM 1958
This record grades VG++ (EXC) and plays beautifully! There are only a small number of very light scuffs seen under a bright light. Both sides were played in their entirety for clarity and high fidelity. The RARE Gold Labels are beautiful with only light wear, but no stickers or writing! There is very little information available for this “Doo-Wop” group and their repertoire other than the fact this record was later reissued with a yellow label. In fact, the “Goldmine Price Guide to 45 RPM Records, 7th Edition” (2009) lists only this record along with the Yellow Label reissue and shows the B-Side as “Unknown”! The same guide shows a NM value of $150 for this original release. The record will be housed in the classic green paper sleeve as shown in the photos.
