Description
Please read properly to avoid confusion: We're having a clear out of the Organ office, most of these CDs and records have all been played to review and then carefully stored away (some are old things from our collection that needs to be cut down), the review items are all pretty much as new, some of them are still sealed (sometimes more than one turn up here), some of them may have promo stickers on then, please check the photos and description (we always use photos of actual item for sale and not ebay stock photos). Obscene that these CDs are all sitting here never to be played again (we're busy listening and covering new stuff and we need to pay the bills to keep on doing what we do, so we're clearing out)..Please see "general notes" at the foot of information for more on how we work here

We have here a now rather hard to find 7" vinyl single from the English punk rock days of 1978. A limited edition numbered release of 2500, this one is number 13, the second single from the short lived Cambridge punk band.
This is a used item in very good condition. Vinyl looks to be in good shape, sleeve shows slight signs of shelf wear and has a price sticker on the front that I'll eave you to remove (I kind of like it, adds to the story and the life of the record), see photos.
"Produced in March 1978 at Spaceward Studios by Mike Kemp and mixed by Dave Goodman, it once again captures the band at its best effortlessly amalgamating the sound of 60's garage, Rolling Stones, New York Dolls, mod and punk into a succinct punk rock gem. While 'In Love With Today' on the first single gave us the word' shit' spat out with force 10 venom. 'Dead On Arrival' (aka 'Messages') gives us 'jerk' with similar gusto. Superb and housed in another cracking picture sleeve, this time by singer James James! Originally it was to have been backed with 'Russian Roulette' but instead they went for a rework of 'Messages' from their first session. Also for some reason it wasn't released till the very end of 1978 meaning the Users had long failed to capitalise on the strengths of their first single and ensured that they were virtually starting from scratch. Other singles out at the same time were the Cure's 'Killing An Arab' and the Members 'Sound Of the Suburbs.' The band were out of step and there would be no more releases. For the collectors among you, there's two versions of it like the first single. Version 2 is the common one. Each sleeve is machine numbered. The bass player on this mix is Dave Goodman".

NOTES
Second Pressing of 2,500 in numbered sleeve. Has raised edge around the outside of the label, which is more of a green/blue compared to the blue label on the first press. It also has a different mix (vocals and drums are the same, but different guitar and bass line) compared to the first pressing.

Do note, we are busy doing other things here, so be considerate and let us and the Royal Mail do our thing, lot of unreasonable people with not much patience on here these days (had an overseas buyer pay for an item 3 days before Christmas and then make a complaint about non-arrival on Dec 28th!. We would prefer to deal with sensible reasonable friendly people and not impatient unreasonable rude buyers please. We will block unreasonable buyers from buying a second time, we just don't need rudeness or people messing us about and being unreasonable. Multiple items. if you wish to buy more than one ITEM then the combined postage is full postage for first item then £1.00 per extra item in the UK (50p each for any after first 5) , £2.00 per item overseas (£1 each for any after first 5). These prices cover POSTAGE AND PACKAGING as well as time (postage is getting expensive these days, especially overseas). Postage prices are clearly stated, Please READ THEM BEFORE YOU BID. if you are buying more than one item, please request the an invoice before making payment so we can combine postage costs.
We advise recorded delivery on all items (especially to Italy or Russia) .

A word on our postage charges: Please remember, the charge is for postage AND PACKAGING, it isn't just the price of the stamp. The charge is for the package as well. Also please note, when you make a payment for postage and packaging, ebay take a slice of that payment from us, as do their sister company Paypal. That's a fee for the sale and a slice of the postage money that ebay take. Packaging also costs money.... and also there's the time involved, those packages don't package themselves, they don't walk to the post office by themselves. There's costs involved other than just the stamp you see on the package. We are selling very reasonably priced items here and we keep our postage and packaging charges as low as we can .
NOTE: Due to the increasing number of time-wasting non-paying buyers, if you don't pay or at least communicate with us within three days of the end of an auction we will open a non-payer case. All it takes is a simple bit of friendly communication if there's a reason for not paying straight away
