Matt/ Unlaminated cover
This is the first uk MGM issue in 1971 following the 1967 Verve/MGM 1967 issue. This issue A/1 B/1 doesn't have the black Polydor ident on the bottom of the label.
The most common issue is the A/1 B/2.
Cover As you can see from the pictures there are some areas that have bits of 'damage'. Taken as a whole it looks okay but obviously with some storage wear. There is a stain visible on the back lower left hand corner. The strangest marks are in the inside cover-which were there when I bought it in 70's-they look like moisture damage -where the gatefold gets stuck together BUT it's only on one side and there seems to be no lifting-so that doesn't make sense. A few light nicks on cover opening. You can see the rest on the photos. Slight scuffing on spine and on edges- Obviously it's not perfect and as always the matt unlaminated white cover shows every mark
Record The record has a high shine but as with all the MGM pressings there is a slight crackle here and there between the tracks but it's pretty light. There are a few light hairlines but I have played it twice and it seems fine and plays loud and clear.
That's it-I try to make it really obvious when an item has things going on.
