The Velvet Underground ~ Loaded Cotillion SD 9034 1970
Extremely rare original Stereo PROMO copy of The Velvet Underground's classic Loaded. Scarce variation with 2 hype stickers on front cover and rare matrix.
Stickers are 'Promotional Copy - Not For Sale' and the considerably rarer 'Featuring LOU REED SD 9034'. The hype sticker announcing Lou Reed's presence on the album is very sought-after, as Reed was not offered a solo contract until 1971, and by RCA and not Atlantic/Cotillion. '0-1' or possibly 'O-1' is etched into both sides of the LP's dead wax, an uncommon and possibly unseen variation possibly indicating a very early pressing.

CONDITION: Sleeve: VG to VG+. Some tearing on front from previous storage labels. Some pieces of clear tape. Radio station call letters 'KUHF' written on front. Notch at upper left. Slight bumping to corners. Seams fully intact. Labels: NM. Vinyl: NM. Highly glossy vinyl with just a few very light superficial sleeve marks that do not affect outstanding playback whatsoever. Excellent early '0-1' promotional Stereo mix, the best I've heard for Loaded - a true must-have for VU collectors.
