Description

THE VELVET UNDERGROUND: Loaded UK 1st press 1971 Atlantic 2400111 Stereo LP 

The disc is in very good condition except for a surface scratch across Side 2 track 2: Lonesome Cowboy Bill where a ’click’ can be heard at low volume, although this does not seriously effect the overall sound. On the rest of the record there is only very light surface sound on the track run ins.* The cover has some storage and ring wear. Please see the photographs.  

*A record of this age however well stored will collect a certain amount of dust and specks of paper fibre from the inner sleeve. As far as possible I remove any surface dust with a carbon fibre brush and lens cleaning cloth and then describe the condition of the disc after a test play. I have achieved impressive enhanced reproduction quality almost eliminating any surface noise on records of a similar age by a thorough wet clean with a solution of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. 

This LP was test played on a Garrard 401 turntable with SME arm and Shure V15 cartridge/stylus with a tracking force of 1 gram.
