The pressed cardboard record sleeve has some very minor overall tanning due to age and one weak, slightly bruised sleeve corner on the lower left. This debut album by the Velvet Underground is otherwise in fantastic condition and clearly an album that was either seldom listened to or which was well cared for and stored properly. It isn't the extremely limited Velcro banana first edition or the nearly found banana decal second edition but is the third, mass-issued edition of this coveted album and iconic piece of American Pop-Art and American rock and roll history. This is the kind of playable, newish condition collectors search for and covet. An outstanding mid-century musical artifact. A great piece of rock-n-roll, art house vinyl. Music way ahead of its time and one of the reasons why New York City is in fact New York, demonstrating its singular importance to American art and culture. The album that put Lou Reed on the map. Forward looking Post-Modernist deconstruction and only the mere re-invention of rock-n-roll is on display. Fully intact and very clean.
