THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO-S/T 1971 MGM RECORDS GATEFOLD FRENCH IMPORT LP 2303 029 IN A SOLID VG+-EXC. VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! The outstanding release from one of rock's most unusual acts in this auction. Lou Reed and company gave us all an album way ahead of it's time in 1967. They were part of Andy Warhol's famed Exploding Plastic Inevitable tour. The subject matter of the record runs from sadomasochism to drug abuse, in fact if it related to the dirty streets of NYC, it was related in song on this effort. All fans of the legendary band, Lou Reed or the sound of the avant-garde need this one in their collection, an absolute essential!!
The record is in an easy VG+ condition with just a very light scuff on each side neither of which hampers play at all, plays well throughout. The gatefold cover is import flimsy with minor wear along the spine(on the corners-light scuffing), mild rubs on the corners and a wee bit of aging along the top perimeter front and back. The original inner sleeve is intact. An awesome buy!!
