This listing is for a brand new/sealed copy of THE COMPLETE MATRIX TAPES by THE VELVET UNDERGROUND. Currently OUT OF PRINT, this 8xLP box set offers the complete recordings from the band's legendary performances on November 26th and 27th, 1969, which took place at The Matrix nightclub in San Francisco. Segments of the music from the 4 live sets in this 43-track box have been made available in lower quality versions, over the years, appearing on releases like the Quine Tapes, but they had never been released in full and never with this level of quality. Sourced and mixed down directly from the original in-house multi-track recordings, which were thought to be permanently lost for decades, 9 of the live tracks in this box set have never been released anywhere, while the songs "Over You" and "Sweet Bonnie Brown/It's Too Much" don't even have any known studio recordings. Even the songs which were repeated from one night to the next provide new renditions and noticeable variations from their studio versions. In short, it's amazing and I love it. You should buy this copy, if not another one. It's great.
