Description
The Velvet Underground White Light/White Heat Original Mono Pressing. VLP 9201. Released & made in the UK in 1968 under licence from MGM by Verve Records which was part of MGM. (See record label for full details).
The record plays without fault, no marks/scratchings. There is surface noise compatible with a fifty seven year old record. I bought it in 1971 from a work colleague. I think it is fair to say that it has not been played excessively.
The cover as you can see is not easy to photograph! There is some ring wear on the laminated front cover. The unlaminated back cover shows marks on the three flip back sides. Also some wear to the cover where the record has been removed & replaced. There are no tears to the cover otherwise. I have photographed the edge which is unmarked or torn. It shows just the album title & group name. There are no details of record numbers.
The record centre is black & silver for Mono unlike the Blue/Silver Stereo version. There are minimal spindle marks on both sides of the record.
