Description
The Velvet Underground 45rpm promo single, two tunes:
- What Goes On
- Jesus
"What Goes On is faded to 2:40. Jesus is listed as being 2:55 on the label, but is really 3:24, same as on the LP. These versions are the only mono mixes from the third LP available."
Back in the late 60's I lived near Westminster, MD. There was a record store there that used to sell promos (yes, record stores got them just like radio stations). I didn't have a whole lot of money so didn't buy too many of them and have sold most of what I had over the years, usually at record shows.
This particular record was bought new and is now being offered to the record lovers of the world. I am "rightsizing" my record collection and this is one that I decided to let go. There are a few other rare records that you may also want to look at (visit my store).
Released in 1969 by MGM Records, label # K-14057.
Promotional record - side 1 is play graded as an "8" (NM) on a scale of 10; side 2 is play graded as a "7" (EX) on a scale of 10; writing on label - side 2.
