Description

Ultra-rare 1971 UK repress on MGM of The VU's classic 1969 self-titled album, many a fan's favorite. As I understand it, the original first 1969 UK pressing used the more common Val Valentin mix of this album, but this 1971 pressing used Lou Reed's more raw and intimate "closet mix", which is harder to come by these days (practically non-existent on vinyl). 
Play tested and VPI cleaned, this looks to be barely ever played, vinyl in strong VG+/NM- condition, plays excellent, wonderfully warm and dynamic analog sound. The cover, like many UK sleeves from the late 60s/early 70s, is very thin and delicate, so it has a fair amount of edge wear and visible ring wear, but all is intact and it still looks pretty good for its age.
