"Live At End Cole Ave" 2-LP - THE VELVET UNDERGROUND (Italy Aulica  A 111.22)

Original 1991 Italian MONO 2-LP set. Limited edition double live album of THE VU live in a small club in Dallas, TX in October, 1969 - only released in Italy. There were 2 different pressings - blue vinyl & clear vinyl, in a numbered quantity of 2,000. It was housed in a purple velvet bag with a sticker on the front noting the pressing #. The copy here does NOT have this outer velvet bag, unfortunately, so it is unknown what number this one is. 

15 tracks total here, including all the LOU REED classics you would expect up to that time. According to the liner notes, the band gave permission for this recording at the time & 2 mics were set up on the stage. So sound quality is pretty good, certainly better than your usual 'hand held cassette recording from the audience' boot that these affairs normally are. Discs have barely been played & except for the issue on side IV (noted below), sound TUFF. Probably a 'must have' for any/all VU fans/collectors, I gotta think... 

Discs = Sides I, II & III = EX+ to NEAR MINT- (barely played, only a couple of thin, lite hairlines - sound GREAT); Side IV = not sure how to actually grade this - there are 2 scuff/scratch marks, apparently the previous owner dropped something on the disc; the scuffs/scratch causes pops every revolution, which start in the last minute of the 7 minute "Heroin" & goes thru approx half of the 17+ minute "Sister Ray"; most of the pops are up front & obvious; when the full band gets going around the 8 minute mark, they get buried in the sound & are not as noticeable; NO skips, however; so, a little bit more than half of this side plays A-OK)

Cover = see pix; just the slightest hint of general wear on front + inside; rub wear on back; small wear in corners; wear in front top right corner; some wear + small chipping along front right edge; some wear along front bottom edge; small diagonal crack/crunch in back top left corner; small chipping in both corners of bottom seams; wear on top & bottom seams; wear + a bit of tiny chipping on spine; a VERY GOOD looking cover; any questions?, please ask
