BEST PRICED COPY ON EBAY AS OF 10-25-2016. One other copy is sitting at $129 and is not in as good condition.
Insanely hard to find in this condition soul / R&B group LP. The cover is laminated and the disc looks like it has never been played. This is in super condition (especially for a 55 years old album) and is knock out 1961 rock & roll.
Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 31 years.
About the band: The Vibrations were an African-American soul vocal group from Los Angeles, California. The group initially began recording as The Jay Hawks, and had a hit in 1956 with "Stranded in the Jungle" (US #18). After a few lineup changes, the group hit again in 1961 with the song "The Watusi" (US #25); concurrently, they had a hit under the name The Marathons with "Peanut Butter" (#20).
Owens and the other Vibrations regrouped and continued, eventually become a nightclub act in the mid-1970s, before officially dissolving the group in 1976. Ricky Owens died in 1996.
Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 55 years.
