TRANSFERT 2002 / EQUATOR ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST TV single by THE VIETNAM aka LE GROUPE X aka GIANLUIGI PEZZERA. Original Italian pressing on the CiPiTi label (NP 1109), from 1972. Outstanding psychedelic jazz and electronic funk breaks from Gianluigi Pezzera, the mysterious producer behind the Frrrrrigidaire Italian prog Lp. Visceral funky jazz on TRANSFERT 2002 with a club groove to die for. Insane sounding rhythm hooks that also remind us of a twisted Harold McNair - The Hipster / I Marc 4 - Andre and John Cameron - Troublemaker but with phased 5/4 tempo horn section / freaky electronics / funky piano hook / white noise / trippy percussion breaks a la Gruppo Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza featuring plucked electric harpsichord strings and traditional Vietnamese instruments (hence the name of the group). Great for DJs and easily, the bomb track from his Frrrrrigidaire Lp session. Waay more elusive and trendy on booming 7-inch format too. The EQUATOR theme defies categorisation with funky B-boy breaks and beats / bizarre cosmic sounds / weird analogue electronics and quirky exotic motifs. Super-obscure Italian soundtrack mood music, originally used for the RAI television programme, Stasera'. Very rare OST 45!!!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to shiny, M- condition overall with a few hairlines from sleeve removal. A few old, faded pressing residue marks. Some light surface noises. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light wear. Ring creasing from storage. Mini tear to middle of open side. A little edge and corner wear. Very rare OST 45!!!
