DANDELION RECORDS cat# DAN 8004 ~1971 PROG CLASSIC! THIS IS THE FACTORY PRESSED SAMPLE PRE-RELEASE, probably for test inspection by the record company before the retail public copies would have been run! There couldn't be any more "original 1st Pressing" than this, actually. The White Lables are previous to any company lables being stuck on. Original 1971 psych progressive LP recorded by guys who also had another highly regarded album as TRACTOR
One of the best early Progressive lps, loaded with all great eclectic brilliantly arranged and delivered tracks, and great music! Self composed uniquely styled music, that the band transposed into wonderful creative music. There were some outstanding records around this era, but the mainstream Yes, Sabbath and Led Zeppelin gained most attention, while this sank without trace in comparison - ignored by the record buying public at large. A tremendous album, the compositions are consistent high quality tracks - not all 'rated' rare records are this good (and I've had many other 'big' rated rock albums) This is a fine piece, and plays great.Please take a look at photos above, note the stamped matrixes, there IS NOT another original pressing available and this is not a fake! Condition; The VINYL is VG+ CONDITION with nice shine, light scuff, and a couple of marks- there may be a few clicks, but the music dominates. This is the original 'Monster Rare' (silly expression, but why not!) LP, white lable first pressing.
WHITE LABLES are both clean. RECORD COMPANY LABLES are not stickers, but copies of what were to be the domestic issued ones. ..... The GATEFOLD COVER grades VG due to the aprox. 2inch cut-out corner. No seam splits, and light wear. *
