THE WAY WE LIVE - A CANDLE FOR JUDITH

Great copy of this 1971 UK 1st press vastly underrated prog rarity, with brilliant stereo sound quality

Year/Label : 1971 UK DANDELION Label number : DAN 8004 Matrix numbers : DAN-8004-A1, DAN-804-B1 Stampers :  A 4  / A 1
Very good plus (VG+) condition vinyl - flat and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as barely marked in normal daylight and it is only with close scrutiny under a bright light that just the odd wispy hairline and small very light mark comes into view - certainly nothing feelable and all appearing to be superficial (though a few very occasional and very light background clicks are in evidence). The labels are in excellent (EX) condition - just a couple of small and very faint spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label and a few very small and faint yellow ageing spots on the side 2 label - otherwise perfect. A solid very good plus (VG+) condition Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold outer sleeve - firm edges with just a few sporadic and very mild small scuffs on the front-side top edge and some mild scuffing on the bottom edges adjacent to the corners, which themselves remain nicely defined right angles with just a little rubbing on each. The spine is nicely rigid with just a few small "nicks" and a little scuffing at each end, and the spine text remains mostly intact with just a couple of letters only partially impeded upon. There is no cardboard creasing, no unwanted writing, and the opening edges are also firm with no fraying. The only other blemishes (each minor) are the merest hint of some very minor age-related colour fading towards a couple of the edges, and again next to the spine on the internal of the gatefold (all very trivial) which otherwise is near perfect.  What an iconic 70's gatefold sleeve this is, and this copy remains eminently presentable - a solid "very good plus" bordering on "excellent".  Excellent (EX) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion or background crackle and just the occasional very light and very background click (including a few very light clicks at the beginning of each of A1 and A4), and certainly nothing to detract from what is a wonderful listen with great tone and impressive clarity throughout.  Comes with original and correctly dated excellent (EX) condition poly-lined inner sleeve with no splits, no edge fraying, no unwanted writing, just a single diagonal crease in one corner and some very minor age discolouration towards the top and bottom edges. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    A lovely copy of this 1971 UK press prog/psych gem - increasingly rare, especially in such overall impressive condition as this.
POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits.
