First Pressing. Deram Records, 1968. Catalogue No. SML 1025. Stereo.
Band name on labels: 'The Web with John L. Watson'.

Condition: Cover is clipped with loss approx. 2.5" at lower right corner. Otherwise there's rubbing and scuffing to cover extremities and a circa 1cm surface scratch, just below the Deram logo on upper front panel. There's also some discolouration to the rear matte, which has a circa 1cm split at the fore edge, adjacent to a little old tape residue (circa 1cm x 2cm). A brief Oompah introduction to 'Watcha Kelele' (side two, track one) makes four pops followed by what sounds like a contrived scratching sound, before the run-in very briefly resumes, leading into the song proper. As I say, it sounds a little contrived, and by the naked eye I can't see any cause for it, as though it might be deliberate, or perhaps a mis-press of some kind. I may, of course, be wrong, but I have not been able to find a digital upload that contains this short intro to draw a comparison, so I'm not quite sure what's going on there. Please enlighten us if you know. Nevertheless, the actual song thereafter plays fine. Otherwise there are some visible, relatively light surface scratches to vinyl surfaces, but the sound is not unduly impaired, but for the odd pop or light click here and there. Remains a good original example, despite the aforementioned loss to the cover corner, etc. Please see photos for further detail.
