This first pressing plays to a superb standard with hardly any interference - half a seconds worth!  S1 is stunning with a clarity and depth that is exceptional and S2 is almost on the same level with just one click right at the end of the final track.  In all honesty though it would be hard to find a cleaner version.  There is no background static on either side and the sonic quality is as strong as it ever was.  An incredible listen!  The vinyl is in great condition also.

The cover can only be described as very good and the same applies to the original inner sleeve.  Not as well preserved as the vinyl but they are not in poor condition.

Visual description

The vinyl is in excellent condition and still has a strong glossy looks with no marks or scratches.  Under a bright light I can only see a small number of very faint hairlines with only two on S2 that are a little more obvious.  They are still quite faint though and you only really notice them when you tilt the vinyl at a certain angle.  They have no affect on the superb audio.  The Deram labels are super very clean with no marking and hardly any spindle wear.

Play grading

The intro on 'Like The Man Said' plays with stunning clarity and Watson's opening vocal is on the same level with not so much as a dust tick.  A great voice but you can see why they had to get a new vocalist in for their next album!  From then on it plays with great depth and warmth and no interference.  The first instrumental is a prime example of that, the sonic quality is out of this world!  It's a lengthy piece and yet there is no background whatsoever.  The next vocal and instrumental are just as strong and deep and to the final note it plays with stunning precision.  This is without doubt a Mint start to the album.

A unique version of 'Sunshine Of Your Love' follows and it plays with phenomenal audio throughout.  Starting with the deep bass intro, it couldn't play any better, and the first vocal is equally as strong.  During the next bass section there is nothing else going on and yet the clarity is incredible!  The flute / percussive section that follows is just as impressive and the next instrumental is so powerful and clean - wow!  The final vocal section can also be described 'as new' - I will grade as Mint- because there is one tick/light click right at the end of the fade out!

Another classic in 'Till I Come Home Again Once More' and it plays with genuine quality from start to finish with no interference.  A couple of minor and quiet statics but nothing intrusive.  For a final track the audio is so clear without any distortion and Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.

'Bewala' on S2 keeps up the standard and plays with tremendous depth and resonance.  Every section plays with such quality and with only a couple of barely audible statics it grades as Mint-

The quiet intro / vocal on '1,000 Miles Away' plays with sublime clarity, a couple of minor statics that is all.  As the pace and volume pick up the playback is flawless and it continues in the same manner.  The mid instrumental is 'as new' and that more or less applies to the entire track.  The remainder is of the same high end standard and Mint- is fair.

'Blues For Two T's' again plays with remarkable quality for a vinyl of this advanced age.  No background at all so this instrumental has to be graded as Mint

The intro on 'Kilimanjaro' is so quiet and yet the clarity is stunning with zero intrusion.  The opening vocal is on a par with that and again you just have to sit back and admire the clean, warm sound.  There are a couple of minor statics but to all intents and purposes this is audio of the highest calibre for such a 'stripped down' track.  To the final note it plays with unrivalled quality.  Mint- all the way.

The percussive opening on 'Tobacco Road' is faultless and the opening vocal has no background either.  It continues to play with impeccable clarity and depth and of course there are no ticks, clicks or pops.  The iconic 'America' section plays perfectly and it's only right at the end of the track on the final vocal that you can hear one click - the only intrusion on the entire album!  Let's say Near Mint- but a superb version regardless.

The Cover & Inner Sleeve

The cover is in very good condition with not too much shelf wear.  The top edge is in excellent shape and the bottom edge just has one small run in the centre.  The thin spine is a little discoloured with some wear at the corners and a couple of small marks.  The right hand corners are very clean and the opening edge, although slightly wavy, looks hardly touched.  The laminated front cover is in excellent condition overall with one small crease and some laminate lift next to the spine as is common.  The back cover is not laminated and has some ringwear, some light marking next to the top edge and a little wear / discolouration by the spine.  The mono / stereo indicator hole is in excellent order.

The poly-lined blue stereo inner sleeve has no side splits or tears but does have a fair amount of spotting on one side and some light marking around the edges on both sides.  There is hardly any creasing.

Play tested on my Rega P2 with AT-VM95EN Cart / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
