The Who.
Live at Leeds.
First press matrix and mother stampers.
faultless outer sleeve with rare blue stamp.
All in excellent condition.

This original LP contained six tracks.
Charting:
No 3 in the UK. album charts 1970.
These matrix and mother stamps show this album to be a very early first pressing.
It is thought by many to be the best live rock album of all time and is included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. It is also included in Q magazine’s list of Loudest Albums of All Time
Vinyl Condition:
Both sides of the vinyl are visually excellent with very little if any marking.
The white label with the blue hand writing are excellent and show no visible spindle marking.
(The labels were handwritten (apparently in Townshend's hand)
On play grading on a Technics SL2000 deck with a Stanton 500 cartridge, the album plays without fault, very little or no background noise.
Outer Sleeve:
Album has been stored in a plastic sleeve cover from the day it was bought.
The album cover looks like the simple cover of a Bootleg recording album of the era: it is of plain brown cardboard with "The Who Live At Leeds" printed on it in plain blue block letters as if stamped on with ink. This original LP's cover opened out, gatefold-style, and has pockets on either side of the interior, with the record in a paper sleeve on one side and facsimiles of various memorabilia on the other, including a photo of the band from the My Generation photoshoot, handwritten lyrics to the "Listening to You" chorus from Tommy, a receipt for smoke bombs, and the early black "Maximum R&B" poster showing Pete Townshend" windmilling his Rickenbacker.
This easily damaged sleeve remains in excellent condition with all pockets securely fastened with the original staples and the spine again is free from any splitting which this sleeve was prone to do, but not this one.
No unwanted writing or scuffing, just a very small amount of ageing that was unavoidable because of the materials this sleeve was constructed. with.
Inner sleeve:
Inner sleeve is plain white polly lined.
The 12 inserts:
All 12 inserts are in very good condition, I say good condition because some of them have one or two creases but no rips, writing, or staining, apart from those which came from the press in this way.

This now virtually impossible to find album is an ORIGINAL 1970 UK first pressing on the blue stamp outer.
