THE WHO - LONG LIVE ROCK 7" PROMO ONLY. 1979.

MCA LABEL, SERIAL MC 8559.

Here's a promo single that you don't see too often, and they usually fetch a good price when they sell. Here's a chance for a bargain. It's a promo only "Long Live Rock" single, that MCA issued to 7 stores in the USA to tie in with the release of The Kids Are Alright movie, as a thank you for the stores continued support in selling their records. This particular one was made for the "Gibson's Discount Center", the others being Pamida, National Record Mart, Eli's etc. It feature's the Iconic photograph "Sleeping Who Under The Flag" photograph, which was taken by Art Kane. The reverse side shows the "Gibson's Discount Center" logo, and the promo only not for sale stamp. It plays "Long Live Rock" on both sides.

The single came housed in a clear plastic sleeve, which is present and undamaged. The coloured vinyl has a few scratches, visible when held under the light. There are no spindle marks.

It's a very collectable piece of Who History, and would grace any collection.
