Description
I bought this at Leeds University Union soon after the actual live recording at the University refectory in 1970. A batch (or all) of the first pressing of 300 was sent to the Union for sale to students, identifiable by the BLACK printing on the cover and text inside the gatefold cover, so this is a very rare copy.
Surprisingly, considering the awesome performance, I only played this a few times, and virtually forgot I had it, storing it very carefully, after first extracting the poster insert (unfortunately since lost). As a result, it is in excellent condition...I cannot see any scratches, scuffs, or blemishes except some very minor marking in the lead-in on one side. I can count four or five very light spindle marks if held at an angle to the light: probably one for each play!
Eleven of the original twelve inserts are included, six are in mint condition, five have very light dog-earing but are otherwise excellent.
The front cover is in very good condition with some light scuffing along the top edge and light corner wear...The idea of the original cover seemed to be to get tatty as quickly as possible, being made of vulnerable brown card and crudely stapled! Given that, this copy is great!
