Description
THE WHO My Generation UK 1st Pressing BRUNSWICK RECORDS LAT 8616 released in the UK in late 1965, not released in the U.S. until 1966 on Decca Records.
The UK edition features a different cover, slightly different track listing, and superior sound to the U.S. edition.
I tested this on my stereo cartridge and my Mono cartridge. When played on my Mono cartridge, I would grade the LP close to VG condition.
VINYL in G+ condition with several light marks on the surface. Play grades G+ with crackle that does not overwhelm the music, great starter copy!
COVER in G+ with wear and creasing around the edges and spine, some chipping on spine, the edge of the opening is creased and torn in places. Yellowing/staining throughout, blue pen message on back "To Dave All My Love, Stevie X
INNER SLEEVE in VG with yellowing/staining, creasing. This appears to be the original UK inner sleeve for this title according to Discogs!! Has "British Patent No. 800513" printed on bottom.
Notes
Black Brunswick labels with silver print; sleeve with 'Clarifoil' lamination on the front and 1cm onto the rear over the spine.Labels for this version are identified by

* Tax code "M/T" at right
• "? 1965" at left
• N.C.B. and B.I.E.M. codes appear in boxes stacked vertically above "M.C.P.S." at the left.
Cat# appears as 'LAT 8616' on the cover and as 'LAT.8616' on the labels.
Plate marks (letters and/or numbers) are stamped at 9:00, 12:00, and 3:00 approximately, relative to the matrix number stamped at 6:00 in the runouts.
Original inner sleeve is printed to one side only with four boxed panels of information. At the top is 'IMPORTANT!' At the bottom, 'PLAYING SPEED 33 1/3 r.p.m' British patent No. 800513
