THE WHO – SINGS MY GENERATION LP (MONO) (1966) (DECCA DL 74664 (VG+/EX-)

·      BAND: UK Mod-Rock band from Hammersmith, England CA circa 1966-Present. This is their first LP.

·      TOTAL OUTPUT: MANY singles and MANY LP’s in their 55 year recording career.

·      PRESSING: First US Pressing, (Pinckneyville, IL) 1966.

·      LABEL: Decca (Rainbow Logo, black, with silver lettering) (DL 74664) (NOTE: Label says “Stereophonic” but it definitely a mono recording.

·      MATRIX RUNOUT NUMBERS (Stamped):  A: (7 10404 3 2) B: (7 10405 3 2)

·      CONDITION: FRONT COVER: EX- (Extremely minor ring-wear. Top seam is perfect with no wear and no splits. Bottom seam has minor wear and no splits. Spine has minor wear and bottom “Decca” lettering is slightly impacted.  There is a diagonal cutout on the bottom left corner of the cover. NOTE: says “Stereo” but it definitely a mono recording.

·      CONDITION: BACK COVER: EX- (Less visible ring wear) NOTE: says “Stereophonic recording” but it definitely a mono recording.

·      CONDITION: DUST JACKET SLEEVE: VG++ (Original Decca sleeve from 1966 has 1 inch split in the bottom, some age coloring and some creases.

·      CONDITION: VINYL: Plays with minimal surface noise on quiet passages and has overall audio grade of VG+.

NOTE: My LP’s are visually graded with the exception of two sound samples from the first songs on each side which can be heard with the links provided below.

 Hi folks, this is Velvetfogg, founder of the U-SPACES music collective which ran from 1997 to 2020 on Yahoogroups.  I try to list records on Sundays, some Auction and some Buy It Now.

GRADING SCALE:

NM/M: Played once or twice. No visible surface or playback wear.

EX: Has been played but has no scratches, minimal to no wear and plays without surface noise.

EX- Plays without surface noise, but might have a few visible minor scratches.

VG++: May have a few surface scratches or a little wear, but plays nicely with only minimal surface noise and clicks.

VG+: "Typical used record".  A little wear, a few minor (light) scratches, but plays well. Surface noise may be more present during soft passages. No Skips

VG: More wear and significant surface noise. Deeper scratches. May have a skip.

G: Significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. (Beat up record!) May have skips.

(All LP’s are visually-graded with sound samples being provided for the first song on each side.)

LP’s ship via USPS Priority Mail Cubic (domestic) or USPS First Class International. Professional cardboard 45 mailers will be used with proper bubble packing.

Priority Shipping is available for higher priced international items upon request and includes insurance but is expensive. (For international orders, please research these costs in your country prior to bidding.
