Description
THE WHO
Title : The Who Sell Out Label : Track Cat No : 612 002
Matrix : 612002 A2//B1 Issue : UK Mono 1st Press
This is the rare Mono 1st press of 'The Who Sell Out.' Both record and sleeve are genuine 1st press with matt textured black Track labels, the earliest A2/B1 matrix and heavy flat edge vinyl. It is complete with the original laminated Ernest J Day sleeve and pinched spine.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, there are just a few of the lightest hairlines and a couple of light marks. On playing the sound is rich and bold with just some occasional noise, but this is largely insignificant, it does not spoil the enjoyment of the record at any point. The matt black tracks labels are very bold and extremely clean with just very slight spindle wear. The silver text is exceptionally sharp and the black is solid.
The original laminated 1st press Ernest J Day Mono sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminate has its original bright shine. The image is sharp and the white is bright. There is a little laminate lift at the edges, a couple of creases and light edge wear. The spine is firm with clear black text and the whole cover is solid and completely clean.
