Description
Up for auction is a copy of The Who Sell Out, released in 1967 on Track, cat no 612 002, a mono pressing. Sell Out is the definitive psychedelic pop art album, certainly one of the greatest of the era, and this copy is a guaranteed first pressing, in the rarer mono format; a very different mix from the stereo edition.
Condition: not bad at all. There are a few of minor marks on each side, but nothing too deep or “feel-able”; everything plays through without any jumps or sticks. It sounds amazing, still incredibly dynamic. Labels are problem free, aside from the inevitable spindle trails. The cover has quite a few lamination creases, a little staining on the top right hand corner, and less than 1” of seam split on the spine. No serious damage though. No poster or sticker, sorry! All round VG-, though some would say VG to VG+. If you’re looking for a mint copy, this one isn’t for you, but if you want to get a great-sounding copy of a classic & increasingly rare record, here’s your chance.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £3 (UK 1st class), £5.50 (Europe) £7.50 (rest of world-airmail). Check my other auctions; combine orders & save on shipping costs!
