THE WHO - THE BEAT. MUSIC FUR ALLE. 1966
DECCA LABEL, SERIAL ND 127. STEREO.
Here's one that doesn't come up very often, it's the German equivalent of "My Generation" on the Decca label. And when you do see one, they are usually a bit tatty, due to the sleeve being a very thin gloss card. This one is in a very presentable condition, still in it's original inner sleeve, with a great photo of The Band on the front, tracklistings on the back along with other artist's in the Music Fur Alle range. As the tracklistings are visible on the photo, I will just give the gradings.
The front cover is still glossy, with a few faint creases and a TINY scuff mark on the top right corner. Use the zoom option to see if you can find it. The spine is solid with just the faintest rubbing, (see photo) as are the top and bottom edges. The opening edges are in great condition, with just a tiny nick on the rear edge. The rear sleeve is extremely clean for a 45 year old album, very little trace of ring wear. That oblong shape you see on the bottom left is NOT a sticker mark. Its under the laminate, and part of the sleeve design.If you look closely you will see a tiny scuff on the laminate in this box. The sleeve has the smallest of corner dings.
The vinyl is amazing for it's age. Just a few of the faintest scratches and surface marks. Excellent, especially for this particular album. Its housed in its original poly lined inner, which is also in great shape, and has information on the stylus in both German and English. The labels show the Decca and Music Fur Alle logos, and are clean with only 1 spindle mark on each side. You can just about see them if you angle the record to light. The label on side 2 has a small scuff. It looks like someone has put a sticker on, then peeled it off. (The record store possibly?) Very minor, but has to be mentioned.
That's about all there is to say, other than it's German, 45 years old (Does this sound like a dating agency advert?) and a very collectable Who album.
