Description
THE WHO - TOMMY
2 LP WHITE LABEL PROMO
DECCA DXSW 7205
Very nice promo issue of this 1969 classic.
2 LPs sequenced for automatic changers.
Jacket shows minimal wear for it's age. No split seams or splits on spine.
Front panel has a 2" shelf worn spot on bottom just left of center, but not split.
Corners are slightly shelf worn, not hammered or torn.
Contrast on back cover photo makes ring wear appear slightly more defined than it actually is.
Booklet has no bent corners and is intact.
LPs are what I consider a very strong VG+
Visually, there is a surface scratch on Side 2 track 1 that is not audible.
There are a few minor sleeve scuffs that are not audible and do not affect play.
As with most Decca pressings, there is a bit of surface noise.
Side 2 track 4 there is an approximate 5 second "tick" about 5 minutes in.
Side 4 track 2 has a short 5 second "tick" as well.
Matrix #'s for those interested:
Side 1: 7 11976 4 (all stamped)
Side 2: 7 11977 1 (all stamped except the final digit)
Side 3: 7 11978 4 (all stamped)
Side 4: 7 11979 3 (all stamped)
Overall a very nice rare copy of a Who classic
