Description

Prepared exclusively for radio station programming this is a rare 1970 Promotional only 7inch, four record box set of THE WHO, Excerpts from "Tommy", Decca Records, 734610/3 [DJ]. This was a soon to be smash hit rock opera unbeknownst to anyone at the time of it's publication. The finely oranate-like box cover seems to have been inlaid with a type of gold leaf covering with black print. Also includes an informative four page booklet with track info. and liner notes. The booklet and the labels also have the same type of gold leaf like inlay. The four 7inch 45 records include 1.) THE WHO, "Amazing Journey/The Acid Queen", Decca Records, 734610 [DJ], vinyl condition VG+, 2.) THE WHO, "Go to the Mirror Boy/Tommy Can You Hear Me", Decca Records, 734611 [DJ], vinyl condition VG+, 3.) THE WHO, "Smash the Mirror/Sensation", Decca Records, 734612 [DJ], vinyl condition VG+, 4.) THE WHO, "Sally Simpson/I'm Free", Decca Records, 734613 [DJ], vinyl condition VG+. Promo record box and 4-page insert are in VG+ condition.
