ON OFFER HERE IS A SUPERB COPY OF THE ICONIC STUDIO ALBUM BY THE WHO TITLED "WHO'S NEXT", CATALOGUE NUMBER 2408 102 DELUXE. IT'S A 1971 STEREO 1ST PRESSING ON THE TRACK RECORD LABEL, WITH A 1ST ISSUE MACNEILL PRESS LTD. MATT-FINISH SINGLE SLEEVE WITH POLYDOR IN A RED BOX IN THE BACK SLEEVE. THE STAMPED RECORD MATRIX NUMBERS ARE THE EARLIEST 2408102 A//1 AND 2408102 B//2.

CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF THE INITIAL COPIES OF WHO'S NEXT DID NOT COME WITH HEAD HUNTERS INNER SLEEVES, BUT THE STANDARD POLYDOR WHITE POLY-LINED COMPANY INNER SLEEVES. HEAD HUNTERS INNER SLEEVES WERE NOT PRODUCED UNTIL LATE SEPTEMBER 1971, SEVERAL WEEKS AFTER THE RELEASE OF WHO'S NEXT ON 14TH AUGUST. THIS IS BORNE OUT BY THE FACT THAT THE HEAD HUNTERS INNER SLEEVES FEATURE ALBUMS RELEASED A MONTH LATER THAN WHO'S NEXT.

The vinyl is graded visually in excellent minus condition (side 1) and very good plus condition (side 2) but both sides play excellent plus. Please see below a description of grades and note that this is a 53 year old LP that has been played and will not transform into anything different to the condition stated.

The sleeve is in excellent minus condition with corner and edge wear. It has the 1st Press McNeill press and Marketed by Polydor in the back.

The spine has feathered and is complete.

The black Track record labels are in excellent condition.

Mint                

Cover - Looks new - no marks, wear or damage

Disc - Looks unplayed - no marks visible

Near Mint        

Cover - Looks virtually new with signs of handling- Minor wear creases but no marks or damage. Light sleeves may show slight discoloration due to age.

Disc - May have minor scuffs &/or hairline scratches caused by moving record in & out of paper sleeve

Excellent        

Cover - Slight signs of wear on edges/spine, corners or ring wear. No damage caused by sticker removal/residue.

Disc- The record has been played and may have some superficial marks &/or hairline scratches and paper scuffs.

Very good       

Cover - Moderate edge/spine or ring wear. Corners may be a little blunt. Opening edge may show feathering caused by removal of record. Visible creases or laminate lift. Localised sticker removal damage.

Disc - The record has been played frequently and has noticeable surface marks, occasional light scratches and paper scuffs.

Good   

Cover - Heavy ring or edge/spine wear. Corners noticeable bashed. Heavy creases. Considerable laminate/surface damage.

Disc - The record looks very well played and the sound quality has probably deteriorated noticeably. A lot of surface marks/scratches. Usually used as collection filler

If the value of the record exceeds £50 and less than £250 in the UK the item will be ONLY sent insured by special recorded next day guaranteed delivery post (insured up to a value of £250) at a cost of £10 and by insured tracked postage at a cost of £16.50 for Europe and £18.50 for the rest of the worls. There will be no exceptions to these costs.
