THE YARDBIRDS 1964 U.S. EPIC Records PROMO 45 # 5-9709 The company sleeve white labels and vinyl are in VERY GOOD+ condition. The Yardbirds "I Wish You Would" b/w "A Certain Girl" white label promo 45 rpm record (Epic 9709; mono). This rare 1964 record by the British group that at the time included Eric Clapton on guitar is the first Yardbirds 45 released in the United States, before their first hit "For Your Love."
A beautiful promo copy of the Yardbirds' first U.S. single, a cover of a 1955 Blues rocker by Chicago singer Billy Boy Arnold. The group's debut single flopped on both sides of the Atlantic, and it would take their next single (in the U.S.) — "For Your Love" — to get them widely noticed. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Epic Records factory sleeve.
