Description
Title: Five Live Yardbirds CONDITION: Record: M- condition for side one and VG++ on side 2. Glossy with just a few light marks. First issue black with blue logo labels are clean. No stickers, writing, serious spindle hole wear etc. Generic inner sleeve. Sleeve: M- condition flip back cover. No seam splits, tape, writing etc. SUPER glossy cover with just a few small marks. Nasty upper right corner ding & crease. The spines on these old laminated UK covers are usually creased badly and weak from lots of handling. This one is NOT that way at all. Only 2 very tiny creases at the bottom. Spine is nice and sharp just like the other 3 corners. Back cover is spotless like it has been in the original shrink or a plastic sleeve since new. None of those ugly, dirty fingerprints and severe wear on the back like you usually see on these. Label: Columbia 33SX1677(U.K. mono) Overall Condition: Pretty nice indeed! Description: The one to have. I'm being as critical as I can be on grading this. Always ship my records packed between thick cardboard in a mailer with the disc in a white sleeve out of the cover, which is in a plastic sleeve. Almost impossible to find a REAL, 1st issue one of these in 2019 in this fine shape. Most of those listed are much later issues too. That cover shines like a mirror. If not for that ugly right corner crease, I'd grade the cover as MINT condition. And the record is soooo nice. Usually these are beat to death. Very powerful show by them. Hard to believe they were so young yet so good at their beginning. Eric Clapton knows what he's doing with that guitar. The beginning of the British Invasion. We just didn't know it yet.
